University College BirminghamThe Summer Pre-Sessional English course is suitable for you if you need to improve your existing level of English in order to progress to study at a UK university. UCB will accept the Summer English course certificate as proof of your English level. If you wish to study elsewhere after the Summer English course, it is recommended that you check whether the particular institution will accept the certificate. The Summer English course also includes a series of study visits to provide the opportunity to see different aspects of the UK, to use your language skills in a wider context and to experience the hospitality, tourism and events industry in the West Midlands and elsewhere.
A relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent) from a recognised institution, IELTS 5.0 with no less than 4.5 in any skill, or a University College Birmingham test result of B1+ overall with no less than B1 in any skill.In order to apply for the Online Summer Pre-Sessional English Course, you are also required to have applied for an undergraduate or postgraduate course and received a conditional offer for the September 2023 intake.
