Program Overview

UFV's intensive, two-year Computer Information Systems (CIS) diploma provides you with a broad base of IT knowledge. You explore to a full range of key topics such as network and database administration, web design, network security, information systems management, and programming, which allows you to take your career in a number of different directions. In addition to learning how to design, build, and manage computer systems, you also take business and communications courses to prepare for the challenges of the workplace. As part of the program's strong emphasis on practical work, you apply what you learn in the classroom on hands-on projects in UFV's well-equipped labs.

Must completed the equivalent of Canadian Grade 12 (Form Six or five O-levels plus at least two A-levels) or near-equivalent standing, high school transcript(s) and proof of graduation, post-secondary transcript(s) from all institutions attended, IELTS (Academic) - score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum band score of 6.0, TOEFL of 88 or higher (iBT) with no section below 20, CAEL - score of 70, PTE - score of 61 with 60 in writing, MELAB - score of 85, Cambridge - Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) min C, CanTEST - score of 4.5 with a minimum writing score of 4.0
