The Ontario Building Code sets out the minimum safety requirements regarding public health, fire protection and structural sufficiency. This program has been developed to assist those students that enter the design, inspection or construction industry to interpret and apply code requirements correctly. The Building Inspection Technician Program is a two-year program that includes academic, technical, and code skills.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), Grade 12 English (C, U), Grade 12 Math (C, U) (MCT4C preferred; MAP4C is accepted with a minimum GPA of 60%) Or equivalent Or mature student status, Passport, Secondary/post-secondary transcripts assessed by the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada, Download letters of acceptance, Notify the college upon receipt of a visa/study permit and upload a copy, Proof of English Proficiency-International English Language Testing System (IELTS)-IELTs Academic Issued with past 2 years-General programs require an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual Band score under 6.0; however, one band at 5.5 will be accepted
