In year one of the Environmental Assessment and Restoration program, you complete 10 courses during the Fall and Winter semesters at Medicine Hat College. After successfully completing the second year at LC, you will be awarded a diploma in Environmental Assessment and Restoration. The two-year diploma leads to a technically-oriented career with well-balanced components of field and laboratory work. The emphasis will be on soil and water resources and their ecological relationships to other renewable resources. This program is intended to prepare technicians in fields such as: reclamation of disturbed lands; water management and monitoring; soil survey and analysis; resource inventory and contaminant management.
