Program Overview

Occupational therapy assistants (OTA) and physiotherapy assistants (PTA) work under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assisting them with treatment plans for individuals who have conditions that are physically or developmentally disabling. Assistants prepare materials and equipment used during treatment and may perform clerical or administrative duties as assigned.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Mature Student Status, Grade 12 English (C, M or U) Grade 11 or 12 biology (C, M or U), Two additional senior level subjects, Passport, Secondary/post-secondary transcripts assessed by the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada, Download letters of acceptance, Notify the college upon receipt of a visa/study permit and upload a copy, Proof of English Proficiency-International English Language Testing System (IELTS)-IELTs Academic Issued with past 2 years-General programs require an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual Band score under 6.0; however, one band at 5.5 will be accepted
