Students participate in both academic and practical courses that develop the knowledge and skills demanded by Canadian police services. A common first year with the Protection/Security and Investigation program and the Community and Justice Service program allows students the opportunity to transfer between programs after the first year of study. During the first year, students focus on gaining an understanding of criminal justice in Canada as well as practicing healthy and active lifestyles related to law enforcement.
Secondary or high school transcripts with proof of graduation, subjects taken, and grades received, Math and English credits are required at the Grade 12 level, Test scores: TOEFL iBT of 79, IELTS of 6.0, CAEL of 60.
Diverse opportunities within the field of policing are available to graduates, including employment with Royal Canadian Mounted Police, provincial police services, municipal/regional police organizations, private policing services, the Canadian Forces Military Police, and various other justice agencies.
