Program Overview

The Level 3 Diploma for Medical Administration AMSPAR (the Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists) provides students with the knowledge and skills to meet the specialist administrative and secretarial needs of a range of health care occupations as found in hospitals, community health, general and private practice, research, the pharmaceutical industry and complementary medicine. Modules will include externally set examinations as well as internally assessed assignments.

Candidates must also have typing/word processing skills at a minimum of OCR (RSA) Level 1. Current work experience in a relevant environment, e.g. NHS Trust or General Practice would be an advantage although not essential.
