Program Overview

This unique double degree enables you to gain two qualifications with just one extra year of study. By combining the study of social policies and behaviour with the study of Aboriginal cultures and Australian society, it improves and diversifies the employment prospects for graduates. You will learn from award-winning researchers in their field, at a university that is recognised for its world-class research in psychology and social work1. You will also gain practical experience in our Social Work Studios, and build workplace networks when you complete field education placements. In the custom-built studios you will work alongside field practitioners and academic staff in simulated, real-life situations. Using state-of-the-art recording equipment and cameras, you can review your work and learn from your experiences. Intensive, supervised work placements will also provide valuable real-world experience during which you will experience first-hand what it s like to work with Aboriginal communities.
