Curriculum Structure
Year 1
In the first year, students build a foundation in both disciplines through core subjects such as Foundations of Law, Torts Law, and Introduction to Business Studies. Alongside legal thinking and reasoning, they are introduced to business fundamentals including Marketing Principles and Accounting Information for Managers, helping them understand how organisations operate and how legal systems shape them.
Year 2
The second year deepens legal knowledge with subjects like Contracts Law and Criminal Law, while business studies expand into Microeconomics and Business Analytics. After completing this double degree, students may pursue postgraduate study such as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (required for admission as a lawyer in Australia), Master of Laws (LLM), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or specialised master’s programs in areas like corporate law, international business, taxation, or compliance.
The minimum English language requirement for admission is an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 82.Applicants must have a minimum IB score of 24 to meet the academic entry requirements.Applicants must have a minimum A Level grades of DDD to meet the academic entry requirements.applicants must achieve a minimum ATAR score of 60 to meet the academic entry requirement for the program.Students must meet all of the following criteria for admission:Completion of at least 160 credit points of law study (or 140 credit points if two Summer subjects are undertaken); Demonstration of the likelihood of graduating with an Honours Weighted Average Mark (HWAM) of at least 70 at the time of graduation; or an Admission Average Mark (AAM) of at least 70 at the time of admission to the Honours program.
