Criminologists work to reduce crime by better understanding it. They look at the context in which crime occurs, drawing from disciplines such as psychology, sociology, law, philosophy, cultural studies. Social Workers seek practical solutions to reduce stress and improve quality of life work to understand people. They help those going through challenging circumstances such as homelessness, addiction, abuse, mental illness, poverty, aging and discrimination. A dual degree in Social Work (Honours) and Criminology & Criminal Justice will train you to both the human aspect as well as the complex social issues necessary to make a difference.
