If you want to broaden your career opportunities in the fields of business and law, consider Stetson University's J.D./MBA program. Students completing the program receive both an MBA degree from the Stetson University School of Business Administration and a J.D. degree from the Stetson University College of Law. Holders of these degrees can use the J.D. to provide a legal context for managerial activities and the MBA to sharpen administrative and managerial decision-making skills. Many CEOs and upper-level managers hold law degrees.At Stetson University's College of Law, competence comes from a solid academic curriculum backed by an intensive program of skills training through legal clinics and other real-law experiences. As a graduate of the program, you will enter the workforce ready to work with a solid education in business and law designed to develop managementcompetencies.Inn this program, you will enjoy significant savings in required coursework. Both degrees may be completed within three years. The MBA program accepts 9 credit hours from a list of directed electives in the law program, and the College of Law accepts 12 credit hours from the MBA program of study. Your net benefit is a reduction of 21 credit hours when compared to pursuing the two degrees independently.

When applying to the MBA program, you may request that copies of your transcripts, recommendation letters and LSAT scores be sent from the College of Law to the Office of Graduate Admissions, which will also require an official copy of your transcript from the College of Law reflecting your progress in the J.D. program. Transcripts and LSAT scores are sent from the Registrar's Office at the College of Law, and the recommendation letters are sent from the Office of Admissions at the College of Law.
