Program Overview

The Loyola University Chicago Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) dual degree program began in fall of 2013. The goal of the dual degree program is to train physician-researchers and physician-practitioners who will become leaders in both medicine and public health. These two programs are complimentary, as medicine typically focuses on caring for and healing individual patients, while public health addresses prevention in populations.
