Program Overview

The activities of an industrial mechanic (millwright)/machinist include maintenance, installation, and repair of stationary industrial equipment in factories, mills, mines, production plants, and recreational facilities. These skilled tradespeople also use lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment to machine parts to accurate dimensions. Because they work in close association with instrument mechanics, pipefitters, welders, electricians, and heavy equipment mechanics, they need to be team players.

Additional Information & Requirements

Grade 10 with English 10 with a C or higher, Common Grade 10 or Foundation Program and Workplace Math 11 or Trades Math 041 or Math 030 with a C or higher, Provide a scanned copy of your passport data pages, Provide scanned originals of your secondary school graduation transcripts or mark sheets. All documents must be accompanied by a notarized, official translation into English where applicable, Provide proof of English Language Proficiency either a minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT), an IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent as determined by the College of New Caledonia or have completed CNC s English for Academic Purposes
