Enhance your academic skills and boost your self-assurance while establishing a solid foundation in the fundamental concepts of Health and Exercise Science through an introductory foundation year. Successful completion of this year guarantees progression to our comprehensive BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science course.
During the foundation year, you will undertake a series of modules offered by the Institute of Sport, Nursing, and Allied Health. These modules are specifically designed to acquaint you with university-level study and provide you with a deeper understanding of the field of health and exercise science.
Entry Requirements: UCAS: 48 tariff points, with the possibility of recognizing prior experiential or recognized learning. A Levels: Grades required: DD. BTEC: Grades required: PPP, with the option for recognizing prior experiential or recognized learning. GCSEs: Minimum grade of C/4 in English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject or higher (Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2 Pass are accepted as equivalents). IELTS: Overall grade of 6.0, with no component lower than 5.5. Note that progression to allied health programs will necessitate an overall grade of 7.0, with no element lower than 6.5.
