During the Foundation Year, you will participate in modules that aim to improve your academic skills and equip you with the necessary tools for confident studying. Additionally, you will engage in a personal project that allows you to explore an area of interest connected to your desired subject specialization in the future.

You will acquire knowledge about the tools utilized by journalists and content creators, learn how to identify compelling stories, and develop the ability to create content for various media platforms. The course will introduce you to different forms of media, both in theory and practical application, and provide insight into the essential skills and concepts required in the creative industries.

Upon successfully completing the Foundation Year, you will advance to the first year of our Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree program in Broadcast and Digital Journalism.

Typically, the entry offer for this Foundation Year course is 32 UCAS points from at least one full A-Level or equivalent BTEC National qualifications, GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade C or 4 or higher (except Business and Economics, Business and Enterprise, Business and Management, Business and Marketing and International Business, which just require GCSE English Language at Grade C or 4), IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
