You ll critically investigate and evaluate the theories, knowledge, policies and legislation that underpin current best practice. You ll study a range of topics relevant to child development, such as play and early learning, inclusivity and diversity, and communication and language. You ll also learn how to create an enabling environment for young children, as well as how to develop children s social and emotional resilience.
Typically, the entry offer for this Foundation Year course is 32 UCAS points from at least one full A-Level or equivalent BTEC National qualifications, GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade C or 4 or higher (except Business and Economics, Business and Enterprise, Business and Management, Business and Marketing and International Business, which just require GCSE English Language at Grade C or 4), IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
