In your final year, you ll get the opportunity to specialise in child development-themed learning and teaching, which will further develop the knowledge and skills you need to make a real difference to people s lives in the wider community. We create a supportive and lively learning environment, in which you ll learn through teamwork and collaboration. We ll teach you through a mix of workshops, practicals and lectures, with a strong focus on student-led learning. Your assessments will focus on developing your employability skills, as well as developing and demonstrating your academic learning. Most assessments are individual, but we also have some group-based assessments to help you to develop your teamworking skills.
For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths, A Levels, BTECs and accredited Access courses, value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement, IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Clinical, Forensic, Counselling, Educational, Occupational or Sport Psychology, one of the routes to becoming a practitioner as, for example, a Clinical Psychologist, a Forensic Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Occupational Psychologist or a Sport Psychologist. These specialisms form part of the route to becoming a Chartered Psychologist (C. Psychol.).
