BS Combined Global Public Health and Social Work

4 Years On Campus Joint-bachelors Program

New York University

Program Overview

The global public health/social work major combines the longstanding excellence in social work education at NYU with an in-depth perspective in public health approaches. The major aligns with the Silver School of Social Work s mission of continuous progress in scholarly excellence and commitment to social justice, diversity, and helping people in need. Students will study a variety of topics and will also work closely with an adviser to select the right mix of electives to compliment individual interests and career paths. Global public health/social work graduates will be well prepared for exciting careers in a variety of settings, including community and governmental organizations, clinical healthcare settings, social service agencies, and educational/research institutions. Students who complete the global public health/social work degree will complete all the same social work courses and internship hours as in the Council on Social Work Education-approved major at NYU and will therefore meet all requirements for the B.S. in social work as approved by CSWE.
