BS Global Public Health and History

4 Years On Campus Joint-bachelors Program

New York University

Program Overview

This major offers the opportunity for students to deepen their understandings of issues related to public health, while also combining an interest in history, broadly defined, with preparation for a wide range of graduate programs and professional careers. Majors in GPH/History have considerable freedom in their selection of History courses, not all of which need to have a strict public health dimension. Your advisors in the History Department will be happy to work with you in order to develop a program that complements and deepens your interests in public health through such resources as internships, independent studies, and, for those who qualify, the honors thesis.
