Students already trained in both literatures may continue studies beyond the undergraduate level in this joint program. Students enrol in and, if successful, receive a degree from one of two departments known as the home department. The other is designated the associate department. The joint major is an interdepartmental program, to explore the many close relationships between English and French literatures.

A 4-year bachelor s degree with a minimum overall grade of B, First Class or First Division in all degrees, GPA of 3.0 (on a scale of 0.0-4.33) or the equivalent, First Class or First Division in all degrees, TOEFL ibT of 93 with minimum of 20 in each category, IELTS of overall band score of 7.0 of the academic (NOT general) test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section
