Oceans support life at every level covering 70 per cent of Earth's surface, they are vital for the supply of food, water and medicine, as well as for transportation and trade. As concerns over the protection and the sustainable use of our marine resources grow at a significantly rapid rate, individuals with specialist skills and knowledge in the field play a key role in protecting this resource for generations to come. This unique interdisciplinary and cross-institutional course will train you to be part of a new generation of Australian marine scientists who have the skills necessary to take leading roles in protecting and conserving Australia's coastal and oceanic environments, whilst appreciating and respecting the positions of all stakeholders in this area.
