This course is designed for people with no or limited previous qualifications in finance and who wish to change career direction or enhance their career options. You will be introduced to managerial finance and economics, and move on to more advanced, practical studies in corporate finance, security analysis, portfolio management and trading and risk management. You will have access to a fully equipped Securities Dealing Room on campus, the first of its kind in Queensland. With access to data from the Bloomberg network, providers of financial data to many of the world s financial institutions, you can apply the theory you learn to conduct real-world financial analysis, in real time, without the risks involved in real transactions.
