Program Overview

The Master of Business Administration (Plus) develops advanced business and management capabilities while allowing you to specialise in Human Resource Management, making it a strong choice for aspiring managers, HR leaders and business professionals. You’ll build expertise across business decision-making, economics, entrepreneurship, leadership and people management, with specialised HR units focused on developing and aligning human capital.

Curriculum structure

Year 1: You’ll establish a strong foundation in business and management through subjects such as Business Decision Making, Managing Human Capital, Marketing, and Strategy, Innovation and Change. You’ll then broaden your commercial understanding through Business and Management in Context, Economics for Managers, Entrepreneurship, and Workplace Law in Context, while developing the knowledge needed to manage people and organisations effectively.

Year 2: The second year moves deeper into strategic HR and organisational leadership through Integrating and Aligning Human Capital, Shaping Behaviour and Strengthening Performance, Sourcing and Building Capability, and Sustaining the Employment Relationship. You’ll also study Research Methods, Institutions of Law and Government, Leadership in Contemporary Organisations, and complete the BGL Research Project, giving you opportunities to apply your knowledge to complex workplace and business challenges.

Professional alignment (accreditation)

The MBA (Human Resource Management) is an official UC postgraduate award, but the University’s current course information does not state professional accreditation for the MBA (Plus). The program does, however, emphasise practical management capabilities and Work Integrated Learning, supporting professional preparation for management and HR careers.
