Program Overview

The Master of Information Technology is suitable for graduates with a background in Science or Engineering who wish to acquire a solid knowledge of computing and information technology over 2 years. It is also suitable for graduates from a Computing or Information Technology degree who wish to broaden, deepen or update their knowledge; such students may qualify for sufficient advanced standing that they can complete the program in 1 year full-time. Information technology provides students with the skills to use today s technology as well as to create the technology of tomorrow. Graduates are trained to anticipate future requirements and develop applications, frameworks, products and services to meet those needs in areas such as networking, data mining, robotics and internet services.

A four year undergraduate degree equivalent to a standard Australian bachelor degree in science or engineering, and a 70% average achieved overall, TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in English
