Program Overview

The Master of Education (Visual Arts Education) is a specialist postgraduate program designed for qualified teachers and other educational professionals in art, design and media. The students develop an advanced understanding of the field of visual arts education. You will address theoretical frameworks, critical issues and practice in this specialised area; demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This new course provides the flexibility for students to study in studio disciplines and/or critical, historical and theoretical studies of the visual arts, media and design. You will also complete a research methods course and a research project which provides a framework for investigating visual arts education in an area of professional and classroom practice.
