Program Overview

The Master of Teaching (Primary) course is an initial teacher education course that will prepare you to demonstrate the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (Graduate Career Stage) with evidence and qualify you for professional registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, the administering body in Queensland. The Master of Teaching (Primary) will enable you to teach across the Australian Curriculum. In addition to building the professional knowledge and skills required to teach, the course is designed to foster dispositions for engaging in and contributing to the teaching profession through a commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Additional Information & Requirements

A 3 year non-education Bachelor degree or equivalent from a university or college, GPA within the Bachelor degree must be at least 4.0, written statement, IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) that shows an average band score of 7.5 across all four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing -- with no score below 7 in any of the four skills areas and a score of no less than 8 in speaking and listening, TOEFL overall score of 75 with no score less than 17, or PTE overall score of 54 with no score less than 46, or Cambridge English Advanced overall test score of 169 with no individual band score of less than 154
