Master of Education Early Years

18 Months On Campus Masters Program

Queensland University of Technology

Program Overview

The Early Years study area will enable you to develop in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understandings of current research, theory and practice that will inform effective teaching and learning with young children and their families in early years programs and services. This study area is ideal for professionals working in early education and care settings, who want to expand their knowledge of working with young children, their families and communities. Early childhood research has consistently provided evidence that the experiences and environments of children in the early years are important for strong social-emotional development and positive learning outcomes through school and into adulthood, and influence children s health and wellbeing across their lives. Because of increased recognition of the importance of the early years to later outcomes, there is increased demand for highly trained professionals who can specifically support the diverse learning needs of young children.
