University of New South WalesMechanical engineering offers the unique opportunity to combine various disciplines together in order to develop and improve products, processes and systems. In short, to change the world for the better. Our programs provide students with the knowledge, tools and strategies to design engineering systems and manage a product s life-cycle. This degree is for students who want to develop their technical knowledge and skills, and enter the engineering profession with a degree accredited with Engineers Australia. The Master of Engineering is designed for those students who do not have an accredited engineering degree, but do have either a non-accredited engineering degree, or have completed the equivalent of the first three years of an accredited engineering degree.
A three or four year Bachelor of Engineering degree that is equivalent to the first three years of an accredited Engineering degree in a related discipline with a minimum 65% average (70% for Electrical and Telecommunications), TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in EnglishMechanical engineering designerMechanical systems supervisorMechanical technology engineerOperating plant managerEngineering project managerProcess improvement engineer
