University of New South WalesMechanical engineering offers the unique opportunity to combine various disciplines together in order to develop and improve products, processes and systems in short, to change the world for the better. Our programs provide students with the knowledge, tools and strategies to design engineering systems and manage a product s lifecycle. This program covers the design, development, construction, operation and maintenance of machines, tools, plants and factories. This includes power generation, propulsion and manufacture. The Master of Engineering Science program promotes flexible learning as a keystone of the program it is designed for students who already have a four year accredited engineering degree and who now wish to broaden their job prospects through cross training, re-training or specialisation.
A recognised four year Bachelor degree in Engineering with a minimum 65% average, TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in EnglishMechanical engineering designerMechanical systems supervisorMechanical technology engineerOperating plant managerEngineering project managerProcess improvement engineer
