This course will enable you to develop the specialised skills required in conference interpreting: interpreting in the simultaneous and consecutive modes and advanced note-taking while preserving the meaning, tone and nuance of the original speaker. You'll learn how to undertake effective research to inform your interpreting in a range of high-level scientific, diplomatic and technical domains.

Australian level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent and NAATI professional accreditation as an interpreter (or overseas equivalent); or Australian level 8 or 9 qualification with a minimum mark of 70 in one core advanced practical interpreting subject, A Bachelor degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in T&I, Linguistics, Language of Cultural Studies, or other related fields, IELTS of 7.0 overall with minimum 6.5 in each band, or equivalent, senior secondary studies equivalent to the NSW HSC, one year of Australian or comparable tertiary study in a country of qualification, IB of 18, Bachelor degree which has been accredited by the professional accounting bodies in Australia, OWA of 55-66%, Completion of WASSC/SSC with B grade average in 5 relevant academic subjects
