Program Overview

The School offers the Master of Philosophy in Mental Health (MPhil). This has been established in response to requests from MFMH students who wish to undertake supervised research in forensic mental health who have not had prior research experience (and thereby not being eligible to enrol for the MSc by research or a PhD). The Master of Philosophy in Mental Health is a research degree designed to provide research training for candidates wishing to progress to a PhD, or who wish to develop competence in researching Forensic Mental Health.

Additional Information & Requirements

An Honours degree (at least class 2 division 1) in a relevant discipline, or with an MBBS from an Australian or New Zealand university, TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in English
