Program Overview

Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive compounds, known as radiopharmaceuticals, to diagnose and provide therapy to patients. Radiopharmaceutical practitioners are responsible for creating the radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear medicine. The practice of nuclear medicine detects functional abnormalities in heart disease; many cancers; gastrointestinal, endocrine and neurological disorders; as well as many others within the body. It enables the visualisation of chemistryin vivo, as it is happening. This course developed in collaboration with professional radiopharmaceutical scientists will provide you with the knowledge and skills required for a rewarding career in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic medicine.

Additional Information & Requirements

Australian level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent in chemical sciences, biological sciences or natural and physical sciences, GPA of 4.50 (out of 7.00),IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent, senior secondary studies equivalent to the NSW HSC, one year of Australian or comparable tertiary study in a country of qualification, IB of 18, Bachelor degree which has been accredited by the professional accounting bodies in Australia, OWA of 55-66%, Completion of WASSC/SSC with B grade average in 5 relevant academic subjects
