University of New South WalesThe Master of International Public Health (Extension) provides students with the advanced disciplinary knowledge and technical capacities to contribute to disease control, health promotion, health services development, and public health research across a wide range of populations and countries. The program fosters sophisticated knowledge and skills that can be applied to a broad range of highly complex public health issues in global health. Graduates are equipped with specialised professional skills needed for research and professional practice to work globally in health departments, with government and non-government organisations, and with international and bi-lateral aid agencies in both the public and private sectors. The program fosters judgment-ready practitioners who can contribute to improving public health outcomes in specific and diverse settings drawing on a global health perspective.
An undergraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or health management and two years full-time professional or volunteer experience. This may also include equivalent professional experience acquired as part of a degree of 4 or more years duration (e.g. MBBS, MD), TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in EnglishHealth Education SpecialistInternational Health InternGlobal and Public Health FellowResearch AnalystInstructional Designer/Health Education TrainerProgram Officer
