With the world population rapidly growing, the need for products and technologies that can produce sustainable food sources, create cleaner fuels, reduce our environmental footprint and combat disease also grows. Biotechnology which has been employed for thousands of years in agriculture, food production and medicine utilises cellular and biomolecular processes to develop such products and technologies. This course will equip you with a core competency in advanced molecular biotechnology approaches so that you're primed for a career that is vital to improving our lives and the health of our planet.
Australian level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent, with two units of chemistry or equivalent, GPA of 4.50 (out of 7.00), Bachelor of Science with a GPA of 2.70 out of 4.00 or equivalent, with a relevant major and a substantial laboratory component in the areas of chemistry, molecular biology, microbiology and bioanalytical techniques, IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent, senior secondary studies equivalent to the NSW HSC, one year of Australian or comparable tertiary study in a country of qualification, IB of 18, Bachelor degree which has been accredited by the professional accounting bodies in Australia, OWA of 55-66%, Completion of WASSC/SSC with B grade average in 5 relevant academic subjects
