Program Overview

The program is intended for students who have completed a Mathematics or Statistics major in a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Mathematics program, or in a related area, and who wish to further their knowledge of statistics. The Master of Statistics program is the longest running program of its kind in Australia. It covers a wide range of statistical theory and practice and provides advanced training for those who are currently, or are aiming to become, practicing statisticians. In addition, the program will provide a means of obtaining the necessary preparation for further research in Statistics.

Additional Information & Requirements

A Bachelor of Mathematics or Bachelor of Science degree with a major in mathematics or statistics, Have sufficient mathematical and/or statistical background, as indicated by a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 65 or above in level III mathematics and/or statistics university courses, TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in English
