Program Overview

The Master of Social Work by Research degree program is designed for students wishing to engage in serious research and students who complete the program will be competent to carry out research in their chosen area. Students may be enrolled full-time or part-time; internal or external. Full-time students have between 1 to 2 years, and part-time students have between 3 to 4 years to complete the degree. Each student has a supervisor, and progress is reviewed annually.

Additional Information & Requirements

Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in any discipline with a record of academic achievement equivalent to a UNSW credit average of 65%, TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in English
