Program Overview

Students will gain the skills and knowledge to Conduct detailed, sophisticated research on the Middle East and/or Central Asia, synthesize research material and explain the findings clearly and succinctly, and present these findings both in writing and orally. Leading experts from the university Centre for Arab &; Islamic Studies will take you on a journey through the politics, international relations, modern history and political economy of the Middle East and Central Asia, drawing on links with major counterparts in the Arab and Muslim world, as well as in North America and Europe.

Additional Information & Requirements

Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5/7.Applicants with a Bachelor Degree or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 24 units (1 semester) of credit.Applicants with a Graduate Diploma or Honours in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 48 units (1 year) of credit.Cognate disciplines: Diplomacy, International relations, Modern history; Other social sciences and humanities disciplines and fields where there is significant coverage of a relevant aspect of Middle Eastern, Central Asian or Islamic Studies and where similar approaches and methodologies are used; and modern languages relating to the Middle East and/or Central Asia region such as Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Russian or French. Politics, Political economy, Political science, Religious studies/Islamic studies; Security studies, Sociology; Strategic studies.Test scores: IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CAE
