The Master of Clinical Psychology (Advanced Entry) at CQUniversity is a 1-year full-time postgraduate program for students who already hold general registration as a psychologist or have completed an APAC-accredited Master of Professional Psychology. It provides advanced training in clinical psychology as a specialised area of practice.

Curriculum Structure:

Year 1: Covers Advanced Clinical Assessment, Advanced Clinical Intervention, Health Psychology and Rehabilitation, Clinical Practice 2, Clinical Practice 3, Clinical Practice 4, and a Clinical Psychology Engagement and Evaluation Project. Students complete approximately 750 hours of clinical placement across university and external clinical settings.

Focus Areas: Clinical psychology, advanced psychological assessment, clinical intervention, health psychology, rehabilitation, professional practice, clinical placement and community engagement.

Learning Outcomes: Graduates will develop advanced skills in psychological assessment, clinical intervention, professional practice and evaluation, and apply clinical psychology knowledge across diverse client groups and settings.

Professional Alignment (Accreditation): The program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a sixth-year program in psychology and prepares graduates to apply for the Registrar Program leading to an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
