The Master of Psychology (Forensic) at UNSW Sydney is a 2-year full-time postgraduate professional program that combines advanced psychological, forensic and legal training. Year 2: Covers Experimental Psychology and Law, advanced Professional and Ethical Practice, and the three-part Research Thesis sequence. Students continue their supervised forensic practice and complete their research thesis.

Learning Outcomes: Graduates will develop advanced skills in psychological assessment and intervention, apply psychological knowledge within legal and forensic contexts, communicate effectively with courts and legal professionals, conduct forensic research and practise according to professional and ethical standards.

Professional Alignment (Accreditation): The program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as the fifth and sixth years of study. Graduates are eligible to apply for general registration as a psychologist and can progress to a Psychology Board of Australia-approved Forensic Psychology registrar program for endorsement as a Forensic Psychologist.

Reputation (Employability): The program includes a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised forensic practice across the UNSW Forensic Psychology Clinic and other field placement settings, preparing graduates for professional roles across courts, correctional services, probation and parole, child protection, juvenile justice, private practice and public policy.
