Graduates of the master s programme in Classical Philology are, beyond a bachelor s programme, competent in dealing with all subject areas of classical philology (Greek literature of antiquity, Latin literature of antiquity, Latin language and literature in the Middle Ages and modern time). They are able to professionally comment on texts from these eras based on linguistic, literary and cultural studies criteria and critically assess them from a perspective of aesthetics of production and reception. In addition, they have specialised in one of the three subject areas mentioned above and are qualified to publish academic papers on this subject
