Program Overview

The MSc in Chemical Engineering Technology focuses on the education of broadly trained industrial engineers, which master the basic principles of process chemistry and - technology and can apply those in practice. The Master aims to give an insight into process/technical quality factors as well as into socio-economic and environmental- safety items on the basis of a wide range of industrial processes and related techniques. Hereby attention is paid to the implementation of existing, but also innovative procedures, technologies, applications and product development.

Holders of an appropriate Belgian academic bachelor degree, Holders of a foreign university bachelor degree or higher education bachelor diploma: bachelor of minimum 3 years, In some cases applicants cannot be admitted directly to a master programme, but have to do a specific preparatory or linking course (between 45 and 90 ECTS credits) first, depending on their previous studies, English Language Requirement:TOEFL-TEST with a score of 510-559 (paper-based), or 72-94 (internet-based) or higher, IELTS with a minimum overall band score of 6.0, B2-certificate ITACE for students (Interuniversity test of academic English), awarded by the Ghent University Language Centre, B2-certificate from a university language centre, Final test certificate from the course Practical English 5 or English for Written Academic Purposes awarded by the UCT, Certificate B2 First, Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a score of 59-75, Certificate ITNA B2, B2-certificate from a university language centre, Certificate STRT 'Educatief Startbekwaam' under Dutch as a Foreign Language, Passing the entrance examination medicine-dentistry study programmes
