Program Overview

Whether on a self-reliant basis or as a member of a team, Masters of Electrical Engineering are expected to be capable of building complex electronic (communications) systems in a duly efficient and methodical manner within a broad field of applications, ranging from the conception and analysis right up to the design, implementation, testing and management of such systems. In doing so, graduate students are to draw on their in-depth theoretical foundations, technological knowledge, and contemporary professional tools and resources in support of the development of such systems. In addition, they are to have the required research attitudes and competences to support creative or innovative efforts in industry or in scientific research.

Holders of an appropriate Belgian academic bachelor degree, Holders of a foreign university bachelor degree or higher education bachelor diploma: bachelor of minimum 3 years, In some cases applicants cannot be admitted directly to a master programme, but have to do a specific preparatory or linking course (between 45 and 90 ECTS credits) first, depending on their previous studies, English Language Requirement:TOEFL-TEST with a score of 510-559 (paper-based), or 72-94 (internet-based) or higher, IELTS with a minimum overall band score of 6.0, B2-certificate ITACE for students (Interuniversity test of academic English), awarded by the Ghent University Language Centre, B2-certificate from a university language centre, Final test certificate from the course Practical English 5 or English for Written Academic Purposes awarded by the UCT, Certificate B2 First, Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a score of 59-75, Certificate ITNA B2, B2-certificate from a university language centre, Certificate STRT 'Educatief Startbekwaam' under Dutch as a Foreign Language, Passing the entrance examination medicine-dentistry study programmes
