The programme of Master of Linguistics builds on the competences the students acquired in the Bachelor s programme of Linguistics and Literature. Additionally the students acquire the following core competences: They are able to formulate a scientific question as clearly and accurately as possible as a starting point for their own research.They are familiar with the most important linguistic theories and models and they are able to easily use the basic concepts of linguistics.They have the necessary background knowledge to situate their research in their own subject area, they have developed considerable powers of analysis and interpretation enabling them to judge the originality and relevance of their research and to critically evaluate its social relevance. They can also actively but critically follow the developments in the domains of research and in the relevant scientific and cultural context.

Should have academic bachelor of linguistics and literature; 60 ECTS-credits, Either you have completed and passed at least one complete year (or 60 credits) of courses taught in Dutch at a secondary school, university college or university, a color copy of a valid passport or identity card, a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter, a color copy of an original degree certificate with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if the degree is drawn up in another language, a copy of the original academic transcripts and course descriptions with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if they are drawn up in another language, for admission in Dutch programmes: a Dutch language certificate indicating the level or the acceptance letter of a registration in a Dutch language course or test, for admission in English programmes: an English language certificate indicating the level, Minimum proficiency level of Dutch: IU Language Test level C1 or CNVT: Profile Academic Language Proficiency (up until 2014) or Profile Educational Professional
