All programs of the Master in Advanced Dentistry aim to educate masters in specialized dentistry with a profound knowledge to consider the patient s interests during specialised treatment in their clinical discipline, concerning the economic and social aspects of health care. His/her actions are evidence based. Specific aims in specialized dentistry include, a) Periodontology - Aims and final terms The master program in periodontology aims to upgrade the general dentist to a highly qualified specialist practitioner, being capable of performing dental treatments independently and under the own responsibility within a background of broad dental, medical and sociological knowledge.

Additional Information & Requirements

Holders of an appropriate Belgian academic bachelor degree, Holders of a foreign university bachelor degree or higher education bachelor diploma: bachelor of minimum 3 years, In some cases applicants cannot be admitted directly to a master programme, but have to do a specific preparatory or linking course (between 45 and 90 ECTS credits) first, depending on their previous studies, C1-Certificate 'Educatief Professioneel' awarded by Nederlandse Taalunie, Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal, Certificate ITNA C1 - awarded by the Ghent University Language Centre, C1-certificate from a university language centre
