The Master of Nursing and Midwifery training programme is aimed at offering a university level training course preparing trainee students for careers in nursing and midwifery education at an occupational bachelor level, with the ability of conducting supervised scientific research in the areas of nursing and midwifery, the ability to deal with field information as part of a wider theoretical framework as well as preparing for people management positions.

Holders of an appropriate Belgian academic bachelor degree, Holders of a foreign university bachelor degree or higher education bachelor diploma: bachelor of minimum 3 years, In some cases applicants cannot be admitted directly to a master programme, but have to do a specific preparatory or linking course (between 45 and 90 ECTS credits) first, depending on their previous studies, C1-Certificate 'Educatief Professioneel' awarded by Nederlandse Taalunie, Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal, Certificate ITNA C1 - awarded by the Ghent University Language Centre, C1-certificate from a university language centre
