Same as the Bachelor of Criminological Sciences training programme, the Master of Criminological Sciences training is an academic training programme based on scientific research and devised to bring students to a more advanced level of general and specific final competences that are inherent to scientific operation in general and to the field of criminological sciences in particular. In principle, the Master of Criminological Sciences programme aspires to instil into students the competences to enable them to operate in a duly professional manner in any number of careers in the areas of policy planning, policy support, policy assessment and policy execution, in a consummate and self-reliant manner.
Holders of an appropriate Belgian academic bachelor degree, Holders of a foreign university bachelor degree or higher education bachelor diploma: bachelor of minimum 3 years, In some cases applicants cannot be admitted directly to a master programme, but have to do a specific preparatory or linking course (between 45 and 90 ECTS credits) first, depending on their previous studies, C1-Certificate 'Educatief Professioneel' awarded by Nederlandse Taalunie, Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal, Certificate ITNA C1 - awarded by the Ghent University Language Centre, C1-certificate from a university language centre
