The International Master in Marine Biological Resources IMBRSea, is a joint Master programme organized by eight leading European universities in the field of marine sciences; Ghent University, University of Pierre and Marie Curie, University of the Algarve PT, University of Oviedo ES, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology IE, University of the Basque Country ES, Polytechnic University of Marche , and University of Bergen, supported by fourteen Marine Research Institutes belonging to the European Marine Biological Resource Centre. Based on the objectives of the EMBRC consortium, IMBRSea covers a wide, yet consistent, range of subjects related to the sustainable use of marine biological resources. With an emphasis on marine biological and ecological processes, the programme links biology of marine organisms and environmental studies with subjects in marine policy and planning
Candidates must have a relevant Bachelor's degree of at least 3 years (180 ECTS) with a good score (at least upper second class or equivalent) from a university or recognized institution. Holders of an appropriate Belgian academic bachelor degree, Holders of a foreign university bachelor degree or higher education bachelor diploma: bachelor of minimum 3 years, In some cases applicants cannot be admitted directly to a master programme, but have to do a specific preparatory or linking course (between 45 and 90 ECTS credits) first, depending on their previous studies, English Language Requirement:TOEFL-TEST with a score of 570 (paper-based), or 87 (internet-based) or higher, IELTS with a minimum overall band score of 6.5, Final test certificate from the course Practical English 5 or English for Written Academic Purposes awarded by the UCT
