Program Overview

The master has an advanced level of knowledge of the concepts and theories of the chosen specialties within the disciplines of sociology and economics and is able to describe the status of the scientific debate and the most recent (inter)national developments.The master is able to systematically collect and critically process (inter)national sources and research literature on a specific social question from a multidisciplinary perspective.Based on his/her analytical insight and methodological training, the master is able to scientifically formulate a research question, independently or in a team, to draw up a research plan, to collect and process (empirical) data and to reach well-founded conclusions. He/she knows the possibilities and limitations of scientific research methods.

Should have bachelor of social and economic sciences, 60 ECTS-credits, Either you have completed and passed at least one complete year (or 60 credits) of courses taught in Dutch at a secondary school, university college or university, a color copy of a valid passport or identity card, a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter, a color copy of an original degree certificate with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if the degree is drawn up in another language, a copy of the original academic transcripts and course descriptions with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if they are drawn up in another language, for admission in Dutch programmes: a Dutch language certificate indicating the level or the acceptance letter of a registration in a Dutch language course or test, for admission in English programmes: an English language certificate indicating the level, Minimum proficiency level of Dutch: IU Language Test level C1 or CNVT: Profile Academic Language Proficiency (up until 2014) or Profile Educational Professional
