Program Overview

The master is able to independently gather and select professional scientific literature, and also to gather, select and process data in function of research (primary literature, films, registrations, documents, corpora, questionnaires).The master is able to situate theatre texts, theatre performances, films and their hybrid manifestations in their context (historically, ideologically, stylistically), to recognise the type of document and to take this into account when interpreting it.The master is familiar with the main theories and key concepts in the interdisciplinary dynamics between theatre and film studies, current ones as well as less current ones.

Additional Information & Requirements

Should have academic bachelor of linguistics and literature: language + TFL; NL: bachelor theatre, film and television studies (University of Utrecht), 60 ECTS-credits, Either you have completed and passed at least one complete year (or 60 credits) of courses taught in Dutch at a secondary school, university college or university, a color copy of a valid passport or identity card, a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter, a color copy of an original degree certificate with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if the degree is drawn up in another language, a copy of the original academic transcripts and course descriptions with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if they are drawn up in another language, for admission in Dutch programmes: a Dutch language certificate indicating the level or the acceptance letter of a registration in a Dutch language course or test, for admission in English programmes: an English language certificate indicating the level, Minimum proficiency level of Dutch: IU Language Test level C1 or CNVT: Profile Academic Language Proficiency (up until 2014) or Profile Educational Professional
