Program Overview

The immune and inflammatory response plays a central role in the pathophysiology of the vast majority of human diseases. This includes infectious, autoimmune, metabolic, degenerative and cancer diseases. The study of the immune system is the main avenue for understanding disease-generating mechanisms and an opportunity for important scientific discoveries, including the identification of new targets for the treatment or prevention of various pathologies. This is by its nature an area of interdisciplinary study that requires professionals with complementary backgrounds, performances and visions.

Completed Electronic form; Letter of introduction issued by the Brazilian Diplomatic Mission after approval by Celpe-Bras; Birth or Marriage Certificate (original and copy); School record and Certificate of Completion of Bachelor degree or equivalent: original and translated (if not in Portuguese); Registration Agreement Term (TCM) and Financial Responsibility Term (TRF): Originals in 2 copies of each term with issue date less than 3 months from the date of registration at UFRJ; Statement by the source of scholarship or school credit of the Government of your country, indicating the amounts and duration of the benefit(original and copy); Physical and mental health certificate issued in the last 90 days; Certificate of approval at Celpe-Bras, when applicable (original and copy); Passport (original and copy); Updated student visa (VITEM-IV) (original and copy); Proof or protocol of registration in the Register of Individuals (CPF); 2 photos size 3x4 cm.
